I just heard a report (JT 3/29) about a Japanese man who watches a spot near the coast where suicidal people are known to come to put an end to their lives. When he finds a 'candidate', he goes to speak to them, dissuading them from jumping. He then helps them to find jobs, lodging, etc. Thanks to his good heart and caring attitude, many people have been saved, and lived long enough to write him thank you letters.
