exponential and sinusoidal function
Posted on March 27th, 2009 by linergie
my interest in openteacher is the collaborative and free to use work
and i propose to study the way to demonstrate how two exponential function can create a sinusoidal function
by graphic simulation
i think there is nothing new under the sun (litteral translation of french) and this graphical demonstration exists
but, in accordance to this blog/wiki/web site ???, further requirements about license, copyright .... comes
so my project is to see
-what is already done
-is requirements are full
-develop in parallelism a proper application

is python a good language
petit à petit l'oiseau fait son nid
i read a revue about the language python and it appears it fulfills the requirements for my purpose
-open
-high level language
-convenient for scientific computationnal
-a lot of extra modules whick allows to not reshape the wheels (do you understand me ? I mean my english is readable?)
-a good community which allows the expand of the language
but as a novice in programmation, in fact i don't know any language, i ask myself if another language is more suitable ?
java ?
matlab?
any suggestions ?
how works osp ?
as a way to explore what is already done: http://openteacher.info/node/31
at this time i can't make it demonstatre
all files are .xml it means it works with java ?
Programming language
Python seems to be a good choice.
I do all my programming in php, so I would be more able to help with php but it might not be adapted to what you want to do.
You cannot go very wrong with python. It's cross-platform and completely Free/Libre. I can understand python but never programmed anything with it (I almost had to, recently, but finally found a php solution).
The OSP software is GPL, so you can use it.
The best way to use this web site, is to create a new issue in the "Physics & Chemistry" TODO list for each problem or question you have, so that each can be handled separately and kept handy until it is solved. You can use your blog for general commentaries, to explain your own project, or more personal stuff...
